Admission Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline (e.g., Computer Engineering)
- Official Transcript of Records
- Academic qualifications equivalent to a German Bachelor's degree
International applicants are evaluated based on their academic background and transcript.
Interview Process (International Applicants)
Applicants with a foreign Bachelor's degree apply through uni-assist.
If the submitted documents satisfy the academic requirements, applicants are invited to an online admission interview.
Interview periods:
- Applications submitted October–December → Interview in December or February
- Applications submitted May–June → Interview in June or August
Applicants receive the admission decision within approximately 7 working days after the interview.
GRE Requirement
GRE is NOT required.
However, the university states that a GRE Verbal Reasoning score of at least 145 may be accepted as an alternative proof of English language proficiency, not as an admission requirement.
English Language Requirement
Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency at CEFR B1.
Accepted proofs include:
- University entrance qualification taught in English
- English language certificates at CEFR B1
- Equivalent recognized qualifications
- GRE Verbal Reasoning score of 145 or above (accepted as English proof)
German Language Requirement
Currently:
- No German language certificate is required.
However, the university notes that future admission regulations may introduce a minimum German requirement and therefore recommends applicants obtain at least German A1.
Application Deadlines (International Students)
Winter Semester
- Application Period: Beginning of May – 15 July
Summer Semester
- Application Period: Beginning of November – 15 January
